Dental Implants

Dental Implants
If you are missing teeth or wear dentures, you may be a candidate for dental implants. These tiny prosthetics act as structural replacements for the roots of lost teeth to create a foundation for a dental crown or to stabilize dentures.

As a service to our patients, Dr. Bartholomew places and restores dental implants in our facility. He has completed advanced training in supportive procedures such as bone grafting and augmentation to improve implant retention.

  • Many of our dental implant patients with complex restorative needs schedule longer appointments to complete the majority of their treatment in a single visit. We also have Dental Sedation options available for patient comfort.

  • As part of your Dental Implant treatment planning; Dr. Bartholomew will utilize CEREC® 3D Dentistry diagnostic radiography to evaluate the implant site. Using imaging software and visual rendering tools, he is able to view a 3D representation of your jaw structures to determine implant placement and existing bone levels prior to your procedure.

  • The depth of information and precision of 3D diagnostics also offers Dr. Bartholomew the option of using CAD/CAM technology to design and deliver a natural-looking crown restoration for the dental implant. This reduces the number of appointments needed to get you smiling again.

Single Tooth Replacement
Dental Implants are often the preferred approach to replace a single missing tooth rather than a traditional dental bridge, which involves drilling of surrounding teeth that may not need treatment otherwise. A single tooth implant can be restored with a porcelain crown to create a natural-looking result.

Replacement of Multiple Teeth
Dental Implants may also be used to replace multiple teeth, or to anchor a fixed bridge or an Implant Supported Denture. Because they support the bite, they can sometimes help reduce the potential risk of further damage to areas affected by bone loss that occurs after natural teeth are lost.
